Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect from a session?

All sessions are tailored to your needs and goals. Everything, from the pace and intensity, to the type of exercises, level of impact, and weight ranges — is designed just for you.

We’ll usually start with a gentle warm-up to raise the heart rate, get the blood flowing, and mobilise the joints. From there, we move into focused work based on your goals, whether that’s strength, mobility, or overall fitness — and finish with a cool down and stretch to help with recovery.

You’ll be supported, challenged, and encouraged, but always at a level that’s right for you.

How long is a session and how much does it cost?

Sessions are forty five minutes long and are most commonly bought in blocks of five (£165) or ten (£330) depending on how many times a week you are training.

Individual sessions can also be booked and cost £35.

Initial consultations (15 mins, online or face to face) can also be booked and are free of charge.

Do I need to be fit to start?

Not at all. That’s what the sessions are for. Whether you’re starting from scratch, coming back after a break, or are already active but want more structure, we’ll work at a pace that’s right for you. Everyone starts somewhere, and my job is to support you every step of the way.

How often should I train?

It depends on your goals, lifestyle, and how much time you can realistically commit. For some people, one session a week is a great starting point. Others might train two to three times a week for faster progress. As long as there’s consistency you’re on your way to making real change. I’m also, always happy to recommend or design additional workouts that you can do outside of our sessions.

What type of clients do you work with?

I work with a wide range of clients, from complete beginners to experienced gym-goers and everyone in between. Many come to me wanting to build strength, improve mobility or simply feel more confident in their body. Others are returning to exercise after injury or a break, are pre or postnatal, managing an ongoing health condition, or looking for a sustainable way to make movement part of their life.

Can you help with nutrition?

Yes. I can offer general guidance around healthy eating and help you make realistic, sustainable changes that support your training and goals. If you need more specialist support, for example around a medical condition or specific dietary requirements, I’ll always recommend working alongside an appropriately qualified nutrition professional or registered dietitian.

What makes you different?

I’ve been a personal trainer for over a decade, and my approach is individual. I don’t believe in generic programmes, punishing workouts or quick fixes.

I take the time to understand how you move, what you want to achieve and what will realistically work within your life. Sessions are designed to help you build strength, move well and make genuine progress — while feeling supported and comfortable.

For me, good training should challenge you, but it should also leave you feeling more capable and confident in your body.
